Julianne P., Linda S., Jackie K., Alex C., and Johanna K., third graders from Vanderbilt Elementary School all agree that Beanie Babies are still "HOT!"

There are special kinds of beanbag stuffed animals called, "Beanie Babies." The Beanie Babies are the most famous collectible items, which have ever been made. A man named T.Y. Warner invented these stuffed animals. Beanie Babies can be purchased at card stores, candy stores and pharmacies.
The Beanie Babies have been around since 1994, since then over 200 different Beanies have been created and sold. Many of them have gone into retirement and are either completely unavailable to buy or are so expensive that most people could not afford to spend so much money.

(The photo to the right is of the Beanie Baby clothes that can be purchased.)

All genuine Beanies Babies have a red heart-shaped tag that has the letters "TY" on the front. Inside the tag it says the name of the Beanie, its date of birth, and a poem about the Beanie Baby.
