| We're so pleased you stopped in! The EEV is a special place. It is created by its participants and welcomes all to join in. Take a look to find about us and join us in collaborations, conversations, and events. The Electronic Educational Village is the building of a learning community. It is partly high tech and partly not tech at all. It exists because people who choose to be part of it see themselves in a learning organization they create. People give to it. People bring along their most prized professional and personal attitudes and experiences. In the Village, they find partners in action, partners in learning, partners in life. They envision where they want to be and then move there. We invite you to explore this site and be active in the EEV this year. There are many routes in. Check out our calendar for EEV events! Join us in our EEV collaborative activities this year. We hope to add many of you from around the globe as partners in the EEV. As you join, we will add you to the list of partners. Every activity in the EEV collaborations is suitable for global partners. Help us make these special connections! Again, please join us by sending email to Bette Schneiderman at bes@liu.edu.
Please include "Join the Village" in the subject line. |

| NEWCOMERS: We look for the bright and positive spirits in our community who are eager to give to our Village to make it what it is. Our Village awaits you to surround you with people and resources, partners in learning and in action. To find out about us, we suggest the following. Spend a little time and find out about us through our story. Think about what is going on this year by checking out the Calendar to see when the next sessions will take place. If you want to join us as a Villager, fill out the application in Join Us. We have Village partners who would be pleased to be your mentor as you begin your journey with us. Someone will contact you as soon as you apply by email. |

| RETURNEES: Are you re-entering the Village after being away for a little while? We're changed in some ways but unchanged in our basic reason for being. We are still building a learning community with Villagers. We are surrounded by resources as well as eager and creative people who are making things happen. We want to tackle meaningful issues together. Just contact Bette Schneiderman at bes@liu.edu to say I want to come back! Welcome back! |

ACTIVE VILLAGERS: As always, we see you as the creators of the Village. Play roles large or small...in time spurts or in long and sustained time periods. Again, we ask you to think hard about what you most value and what you want to accomplish. We expect you will find eager partners in the Village. We hope you will bring new partners in along with you. We so much appreciate your role in what the Village is and what it will become. |
