| Directions to the Southampton Campus of Long Island University | |
| Southampton College is
located on the beautiful south shore of Long Island. It is approximately
80 miles southeast of the C.W.Post Campus in Brookville. It is easily
reached via the Long Island Expressway or Sunrise Highway.
If taking the Long Island Expressway travel east to either exit 68 or exit 70 (depending on how the traffic is moving) and then head south to the Sunrise Highway. Take the Sunrise Highway east, it's a beautiful drive through the Long Island Pine Barrens. Once you pass over the Shinnecock Canal the highway will become a two lane road. Don't worry, you'll only be traveling on this road for a short distance (approximately 1.7 miles). On your right hand side you will see a sign that says "Southampton College" continue to the very next traffic light (Tuckahoe Road) and make a right and proceed over the railroad tracks. Pass the first entrance to the College, and make a right at the second and main entrance. Continue up the road and you will see the Natural Science Building and the Chancellor's Hall on the left. A small greenhouse and the Business Center will be on your right. Continue west until you see the "Chester C. Wood Hall" building on the right. At the corner make a right and then follow the road for a "little" bit to the left and you'll see a circular parking area on your right. Try to park in that parking circle as your dorm rooms (the Montauks) will be directly in front of you. Registration will be outside on the patio directly in the front of Wood Hall outside on the patio. If we have rain on Sunday registration will be inside Wood Hall and in the lounge immediately to your right as you walk into the building. After registering go inside to the cafeteria for brunch and meet up with your group. We're looking forward to seeing you, and please drive safely. The number for the college is 631-287-4000.
