Camp 2000 is predicated on a constructivist model with participants working in teams to "construct" their own learning.  The focus of Technology Camp will be on learning first and then technology.  One of the initial activities will be to explore the values, beliefs, and theories that participants  bring with them.  Understanding how participants view learning and teaching is relevant to how they will integrate technology within their professional contexts.

As such, skills developed throughout Camp 2000 will be relevant to the participant's background and experiences and learning tasks will be anchored in meaningful, authentic, situations. Through the use of interactive activities participants will be expected to play active rather than passive roles.  They will learn how to work professionally within their cohort, and within the larger environment of Camp. Participants will be encouraged to integrate constructivist-learning principles in collaborative projects that we hope will extend beyond their districts and continue after Camp 2000 ends.
