Dorm Room Assignments: Campers will be assigned rooms in the  Montauk 200 & 300's. Each residence hall is designed with common areas, considered suites to be shared by "students" in both double-and single-occupancy rooms. The names of the residence halls reflect a variety of local towns located on both the north and south forks of Long Island’s East End. A single room is an extra $15/night. We need to know if you want a double or a single room. Rooms will be equipped with  twin beds, dresser, desk, desk chair, closet and mirror. Curious about what a "real dorm" looks like?

Laundry Facilities
Laundry facilities are centrally located on the first floor of the dorm building.  Please bring your own detergent.

Cable Access
All rooms are cable and Internet readied. "Students" must provide their own television and standard cable wire. For information concerning the campus computer network and the services that you can access from your room, please contact Academic Computing at 516-287-8351.

Telephone Service
There is one centrally located pay phone (631-283-9723).  For emergencies please  have calls directed through Southampton's 24-hour switchboard: 631-283-4000.

Security
Many Campers will be taking valuable equipment to Camp, please be prudent and do not leave equipment unattended. There will be several other "Camp" groups on Campus that week. Please be sure to secure your dorm rooms. If leaving valuables in your dorm rooms, be sure to lock the door to the room as well as the door to the suite. Lock the windows to the dorm rooms as well.

Laptops

We strongly recommend that you bring your laptop. If your laptop has an Ethernet card you will have Internet access in your dorm room and in many of the classrooms on campus. If your laptop has a modem do NOT attempt to "dial up" as you might "fry" your modem!
