This is an example of a bar graph. Counting the number of M&Ms in a bag made it. By each color, there is a bar going up to the number of M&Ms that was in my bag. You will each be creating your own bar graph with your own bag of M&Ms.
DIRECTIONS:
Start by opening your bag of M&Ms and sorting them each according to color. You will be making five piles, one of each color.
Now, record, on a separate piece of paper, how many M&Ms of each color you have in your bag.
Next, create your own bar graph with your ruler and pencil. Use the one I made as an example. You can color in your bar graph if you would like with your crayons.
QUESTIONS:
Were there more green or yellow M&Ms in your bag? ________________
Which color M&M is your least favorite? __________________________
Were there more red or blue M&Ms in your bag? ___________________
