5/03....5th
graders are putting the
finishing touches on their research websites as well as their
art mural...4th graders are in the process of writing poetry about walls,
both real and figurative and finishing their digital
self-studies...3rd graders are beginning a study of the Japanese number system and
are creating flags of the many nations that makes up our
Searingtown heritage...2nd graders are working on creating 'shoe-art' based on their study
of multicultural fairy tales...1st
graders are working on their 'Hello World'
self-portraits which incorporate art and research of foreign
languages ... Kindergarten has
been creating walls of their own out of blocks and legos.
As you can see, we are quite busy and productive!!
4/1/03...Professional Photographer Michael Fairchild begins working with 4th grade student apprentices as they create digital posters of themselves using Adobe Photoshop.
3/5/03...Fifth graders invited to present Walls That Talk project at C.W. Post's Celebration Day on May 20th. Fifth graders will also have the opportunity to work with Wall of America artist on artwork
which will be part of the Wall of America mural! Details to follow...
