Geography

In Texas there is the Gulf Coastal Plains, the North Central Plains, the Great Plains and the Transpecos Region. Some wildlife that you might see in Texas include: deer, rattlesnakes, ducks, geese, egrets, hawks, owls, and southern bald eagles.

Climate

The climate in Texas is diverse. Natural hazards include tornadoes.

Some popular foods in Texas are chili, fish, rice, honey, and pecans.

Religion

Just about every religion in the world is represented in the United States.

Sports and Recreation

Football is very popular in Texas, home of the  Dallas Cowboys.  Speaking of cowboys, riding horses and owning horse ranches is a big thing in Texas.

History

People settled in Texas in open lands because they ride horses and need place for the horse.

In 1837 in Texas entered the United States Union.

Cultural Arts

One of the museum in Texas is called "Dallas Museum of Art". In the museum there are collection of pre Columbia artwork also a major European and American Art. 

An example of architecture can be found below.  This is a mission in San Antonio.

There is a city in Texas called Dallas and there are museums that show natural history.

Alamo: A short wall from the Alamo is the Institute of Texan Culture.

English is the primary language, although many people speak Spanish due to the proximity of Mexico.  Some useful expressions to know might be:
