Geography

South Carolina's neighboring states are Georgia and North Carolina. This state is in the Northern  Hemisphere and Western Hemisphere. South Carolina is in the United States. The continent for  South Carolina is North America. In 1729 the Carolinas were divided by North and South Carolina.

In 1997 the population was 3,788,119   The amount of South Carolina's people in 1998 3,835,962. From 1997 to 1998 33,458 died. 

 

Climate

 January temperatures are mild, with some days are freezing. The most temperatures range are 37-59 degrees.  In the fall, the temperatures are 55-84 degree

History

South Carolina recorded history begins in 1500s when Europeans first arrived, though the area had been inhabited long before then. The French and the Spanish were attached to the coast of South Carolina in the 16th century.  

Food

South Carolina Pound Cake is a medium-sized cake that has about the same ingredients that is in normal cakes but it has ingredients that South Carolina grows.

Religion

Just about every religion in the world is represented in the United States.

Culture/Arts

William Gilmore Simms , who was born in Charleston in 1806, is regarded today as the greatest southern man of letters of the nineteenth century. Writer Edger Allan Poe said that Simms displayed "more vigor, more imagination, more movement, more general capacity" than most American writers combined. 

Fun and Recreation

Usually in South Carolina they have a lot of golf courses . And like other countries or states South Carolina has tennis and basketball but the fun for South Carolina's peoples is race cars (Nascars).
