Geography

Romania's capital is Bucharest.  Romania is located in south eastern Europe, bordering the Black Sea between Bulgaria and Ukraine. Some other countries  bordering Romania are Moldova, Yugoslavia, Hungary, and Bulgaria. Romania has a total of 15 cities.  \

Population  

The Population of the people in Romania is about 22.4 million people! The population decreases by about 0.21 percent annually. Most men live to 69 years old and women live to 73 years.

Climate

In Romania, the winters have frequent snow storms and fogs; sunny summers with frequent showers and thunderstorms. Earth quakes mostly severe in the south and southwest.

Government

The President in Romania is head of state but also has border powers. Romania's prime-minister is head of government. The voting age is 18.

Economy

 Romania's currency is the Leu (L). Romania was suffering before World War ll, but after, their economy grew by 2 percent in 2000. The governments' economic goals are to cut inflation, and ncrease economic growth. 

Language

People in Romania speak Romanian, Turkian, and Hungarian

Food

For dinner most people in Romania eat spiced, minced beef/pork/ lamb in sausage form, Cornmeal mush served like mashed potatoes, minced meat with rice, rolled in pickled cabbage or grapevine leaves. Breakfast usually consists of eggs, cheese, rolls or other breads, and coffee. Lunch begins with soup, followed by beef or pork.
