Climate

If you ever visit or if you live in Quebec you will most likely run into a snowy winter. At some points the temperature drops down to -13 degrees. In summer it is hot and warm. In Quebec it also rains a lot. In spring you might even see a hurricane or tornado. If you have bad luck you might be in one!

Government

The government is chose by the people of the province. Including the president.

Food

In Quebec people grow corn, wheat and they raise cows for dairy.

People grow food themselves or buy it. A lot of people own farms.  

Economy

People in Quebec provide for themselves by working and buying their food. People also work on farms so they grow their food and also sell the food, and also people are fishermen so they catch their food. That food is either sold or eaten by their family.

Holidays and Festivals

The Winter Festival and the Summer Festival are two festivals celebrated in Quebec. Winter is an important season in Quebec

Language:

French is the main language in Quebec.

Sports and Recreation

People play lacrosse and other sports for fun. The play other games for fun too. Like ice hockey! 

 

Geography

Quebec is located in Canada which is located in the western and northern hemisphere. The capital of Quebec is Quebec city. Its neighboring country is The United States. 

A important body of water located near Quebec is the Hudson Bay. People own farms on plains near the mountains. Native Americans in Quebec still practice the art of carving totem poles.   

   

The population of Quebec is 7,138,795 people. The literacy rate is very high. 1.5 million people, adults and children study in schools.

Religion

The major religions are Roman Catholic-46%, Protestent-36%, and Other-18%. 

Family Values

The responsibilities of a child are a few chores like cleaning a room or mowing a lawn, etc. It doesn't matter how old the child is. 

Children in Quebec start a Jr. Kindergarten and don't have to go to college but if they want to they can. Girls and boys receive the same amount of education.

The manners are the same like be polite and respect your elders. Say please or thank you. The whole family eats together. Some families say prayer before eating.
