Geography

Pennsylvania's  population is 11,881,643(2000).The vegetation of Pennsylvania is Hemlock trees, and the Mountain  Laurel flowers. The Appalachian Plateau is the important land form because it divides the north and the south of Pennsylvania. When settlers were drawn to Pennsylvania they were all Quakers because the man that named Pennsylvania was a Quaker. Due to the ecological issue the lumber operations and land clearing very little  Virgin Timber trees remain. The rank of size is 6 and square miles is 113,642.

The population is 11,881,643(69%) from the year 2000. In the beginning of when Pennsylvania had just become a state, the population was 434,000(1790-1990).  

 

Climate

A typical weather pattern would be in January, and July. January would be in 4.4 to 4.4''C and July would be in the 19.4 to 30.The average annual temperature is 12.8''c.For the natural disasters, five to six tornados happen in Pennsylvania each year. Natural hazards are thunder storms. 

History

There are a lot of Quakers. The movement west affected the families because they had to move  because of the Indians. The Indians kept on attacking the Quakers. Pennsylvania was included with the U.S. in December 12, 1787.The English Quakers settled in Pennsylvania and one of the leaders named William Penn  named Pennsylvania after himself.

Government

Constitutions were adopted in 1776,1790 and 1838. Local government has 67 countries, 55 cities. The government  is governed by a Mayor and Council- by the mayor (A). The 50 members of the senate elected to 4 terms  and members of the house are elected 2 year terms).  

Economy

The natural resource is gas. A lot of tourists go to these popular places in Pennsylvania:  the National Historic Park-3 million vistors, Pennsylvania Dutch Co. of Lancaster, etc. Pennsylvania has 114 state parks. Plus tourist spend $9 million dollars. The personal income is $14,068 per person a year. 

Food

The food in Pennsylvania that Pennsylvania people eat is fish and a lot of vegetables. People like to go to the market instead of the super market. They like to eat fish with any other  vegetable. Most people like to fish for their own fish or buy it at the market. 

The typical day's menu for a kid in the U.S. is probably pizza or Mac and cheese, shrimp, chocolate milk shake or probably a strawberry milk shake. 

Cultural Arts

There are many cultural attractions like the any fine art museums such as the Philadelphia Museum of Art ,the Rogan Museum and the Penn's Academy of Fine Arts.  There is also a Ballet Company and an Opera. The folklore of Pennsylvania is ghosts and Sleepy Hollow. Famous people are Milton Hershey, and James Buchanan.  Pennsylvania is known for the Ballet company. The only thing of a artifact is the Liberty Bell.

People usually tells a ghost story about a ghost that died in their own house. One story actually tells about a girl how died in a house and people usually say that they have seen her.

Just about every religion in the world is represented in the United States.

Fun and Recreation

People in Pennsylvania do fun things for  funs and recreation is fishing, and swimming, boating, hunting, and etc. Skiing is also popular. The sport teams are Philadelphia Phillies (football) Pittsburgh  Pirates(baseball).People in Pennsylvania loves sports better than everything.
