Welcome Docents!

A docent is a person who is a knowledgeable guide, especially one who conducts visitors through a museum and delivers a commentary on the exhibitions. For this project, each one of YOU will become a docent. You will research an explorer, gather your facts, search for images, and then create a vodcast using PhotoStory. Visitors to our Age of Discovery Museum Exhibit will be able to learn about different explorers by watching and listening to the video you create. You will be expected to:

• Research your explorer using the Discover method of research. Remember to figure out the who, what, when, why, where and how.
• Draw a picture of the explorer you researched.
• Locate the area that the explorer discovered or explored on our Age of Discovery map by placing a marker that contains your artwork and a link to your PhotoStory.
• Create a vodcast with narration and images that will inform our visitors about the explorer you researched.
