The Last Train

The Kindertransport refers to the trains that carred Jewish children to the coast of the Netherlands where ferries awaited to take them to a safer world in England. The first train left Berlin in December of 1938.

The painting “The Last Train” salutes those people who waved many children from persecution, abuse and murder at the hands of the Nazis and their collaborators throughout Europe.
